Howdy all,
Quick report on the last final build week with all but one key workout completed.
I need to work on a better plan for my swimming next time around as it is just too easy to miss/skip a session the way things are structured. I’d much rather swim in the mornings but most times it will conflict with my riding time so not sure what to do about that, will have to have a think and come up with a solution.
Stats:
- Swim: 7km / 2 sessions, all ME workouts key one being 20×200m on pull (base 1m40s)
- Bike: hill reps x 10 on heavy gear (50 rpm) and back to base
- Run: 2hr steady run
- Brick: 2hr steady to mod-hard ride / 1 hr run [14km PB at 4:34min/km, aveHR 151 (!!!)]
I was pretty casual about it all this week and with a couple of social commitments Sat and Sunday morning I am happy to say I’ve done everything I could fit whilst maintaining the quality of the sessions. All up a 16+ hours effort which is very good.
The main goal for this week is to stay healthy. I will up the swim a bit and keep the legs ticking.
Key workout is a 3-4km open water swim in Manly. Everything else is a filler.
